Green, Green Grass

So, I had another day off on Friday, and it was probably the best one I have had yet. We went to Tahoe and stayed in a hotel, and although I had to still sleep on the floor, it was at least in a controlled temperature setting, which was beyond amazing. The other awesome thing about Tahoe was being able to walk barefoot on grass. I had no idea how much i missed real grass until i saw it again (there is absolutely no grass here on the mountain) but that was really nice.

However, Tahoe wasn't all good, as I partook in another water misadventure, this time involving a swimming pool. On the way back from the casino we decided to hop in a hotel pool about a block from our hotel. We of course decided to do it fully clothed, and in my excitement to get in (or my lack of judgement) I forgot to take my phone out of my pocket. So currently the issue is trying to be resolved, I'll keep you posted. In the mean time, I am going to need to make sure that if I have been consuming "adult beverages" I may not want to go near water. I will also be reminding myself that I am an idiot. Oh well, live and learn.

Thats about all I have, only 5 more days of these kids, and then I get another day off and FINALLY some new kids. These guys have really been trying my patience this session. Not that I don't like my job, I still love being out here. Anyways, as always, get at me, talk to you soon.

I feel your pain almost. I did run into your uncle. Yes he did get caught up in the celebration of America (America and especially its leader W are the greatest) and did not bother to count although it did make for an outstanding fireworks display which were seen in double. He just loves Lee Greenwood and they played his favorite song many times in this Totally oustanding republican area I forgot it was his birthday so I am sure it led to further celebration Apparently his bike home was outstanding as well. The trail is really dark at 1:30 in the morning.

He did talk about his summers in Glacier and the Forest Service. No manmade fireworks nor even girls or adult beverages with Forest Service gig. I think he is still trying to make up for his lost youth.

He was one of the few people excited about the drought back here, He said he has only had to mow his grass once this summer. In fact he just called me up to complain about the inch rain we got today. Apparently he thinks he will have to mow his grass now. He is a strange man.

Sorry about the Cartwright comment. I forgot they were all dead except for Adam. Apparently Hop Sing killed Ben Hoss and Little Joe through food poisoning. They are still trying to figure out if it really was an accident or not. They have not been able to find Hop Sing. They think he fled to San Francisco.

Adam was really distraught. He went to medical school changed his name to Trapper John met a gal named Quinn in medical school got married and moved back to the Ponderosa and started a practice. I guess he goes by Trapper John MD and his wife is Dr Quinn Medicine Woman. You might check them out if any of the kids have medical needs.

I did pass this on to Frank but I forgot he can't read or write so this is lost on him. Don't say anything to him about it he feels bad

Well that's it for here. Can't even believe we are this far into the summer

...and to think, all this from a guy who is certified in life-saving techniques in the water. Too bad they don't teach you to clean out your pockets before you dive in fully-clothed. Anyway, the new phone will be out the door in the morning and Dave is just shaking his head and smiling.
Love ya, MOM

I think it was wise to take your phone with you in the pool. That way, you could call someone for help in case you got a cramp. I like that you're always planning ahead like that.

Not much new happening here. Manuel's wedding was the "best day of his life," he asked about you, and you were missed. Hit me up when you get the new phone. Peace
